The Bay Area has held a diverse population since the gold rush of 1849, which attracted thousands of people from all over the world to come seek opportunity in a new promised land. In the beginning, cultural differences kept many of these communities separate from one another but San Francisco quickly grew to develop a neighborly view. Since then, the Bay Area has been at the forefront of a ever changing political scene with many notable events and resident influencers. Not only will you receive a Bay Area historical overview but also visit significant political sites dating as early as the 1700’s but as recent as the 2000’s, focusing on the historical and political value of each. We will allow time to get out at each stop and take a deeper look into the passion and pride of the Bay Area community and how the people here have shaped politics for years to come.
